ODEP Announces 2023 NDEAM Theme – Advancing Access and Equity
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy has announced that this year’s National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) theme will be “Advancing Access and Equity.” Similarly, ODEP will use “Advancing Access and Equity: Then, Now and Next” to celebrate this year’s 50th anniversary of the passage of the Rehabilitation Act, which prohibits discrimination based on disability in employment by federal agencies, federal contractors and recipients of federal funds, and in the delivery of federally funded programs and activities.
Held every October, NDEAM is a fitting time to educate about disability employment issues and celebrate the many and varied contributions of America’s workers with disabilities.
